Who We’re Looking For: Passionate, dedicated individuals from diverse backgrounds and represent the geographic areas of NC who are willing to promote our mission to educate North Carolina children, youth, and their families to make choices that increase positive health behaviors.
Board of Directors General Expectations:
Members of the Poe Center’s Board of Directors have a number of expectations to maintain in order to advance the reach of health education in North Carolina. These expectations are in place to help Board Members measure their own performance as an integral member of Poe Center functions.
-Believe in and uphold the mission of the Poe Center
-Serve on at least one Board Committee
-Lend your talents and expertise
-Promote the Poe Center’s social media
-Leverage connections to bring in donations and create community partnerships
-Stay up to date on health trends and information
Board Committees General Expectations:
Board Committees are composed of Poe Board of Directors and community leaders. Each committee is dedicated to an essential function of the Poe Center. We are looking for talented and dedicated individuals to join any of the following committees.
Program Committee: Oversee and provide strategic vision for the Poe Center’s health education curricula.
Community Engagement and Fundraising Committee: Raise funds and increase community support for the Poe Center.
Marketing and Public Relations Committee: Develop and support marketing and public relations to help increase the Poe Center’s reach and impact across the state.
Operations Committee: Support the day to day operations and oversee building maintenance.
